Net Information
Montgomery County ARES® conducts a weekly training net on Tuesday evenings at 8:00 pm. The purpose of the weekly net is to provide training for amateur radio operators and to test the equipment associated with the Montgomery County ARES® network.
The weekly training net is generally conducted on our 146.64 repeater. On the second Tuesday of the month the weekly training net is conducted on our 444.250 repeater.
A brief digital net usually follows the regular net and all are welcome to check in. Digital nets are conducted using MT63 2000L.
In the event of severe weather, Dayton Skywarn utilizes our 146.64 repeater for their net operations. Please listen for the double-beep courtesy tone indicating that Dayton Skywarn net operations are in progress. When Skywarn nets are in progress all Montgomery County ARES nets and other traffic are moved to our 444.250 repeater.
On the last Tuesday of the month there is no net. This is when our General meetings and Planning meeting usually occur. See our Announcements Page for specific meeting dates.
